Muscat Guide

Muscat, in Oman, is one of the Middle East’s oldest cities, with a documented history going back over 2,000 years. Some of the ancient buildings that are still around today date back to around that time, and in a setting such as this it is quite easy to see how some parts of life must have been. There is also a great contrast with this historical perspective since Oman is a rich country, having been a major oil producer for many years. This wealth has created a fine city, with modern buildings housing major companies, and shopping areas offering the finest products. Muscat is a city of contrasts, both with their own attractions and when taken together they are a fascinating look at a cities development.
