Lima Travel Guide

The South American country of Peru is where Lima can be found, and it is far and away the country’s most popular and productive city. It is fair to say that Lima is the hub around which the country revolves, as every aspect of power is here – industrial, economic, political and social.

Lima was originally founded by the Spanish Conquistadors, and was the main South American city for at least three hundred years whilst they held their positions of power. Although other cities amongst the South American countries have taken prominence, Lima is still Peru’s focal point, with almost a third of the country’s population living within it.
