The platform has matured from the original business established in 1994, with a long-standing background in digital development, marketing, and commercial strategy. Over three decades, we have worked across multiple sectors, evolving from one of the UK’s earliest web development companies into a specialist operator within high-value markets.
Our direct involvement in the superyacht industry began in 2014 through the launch of 1UK.com as a yacht sales and charter lead generation platform. Since then, we have developed relationships with brokers, charter agents, shipyards, and industry professionals globally, alongside involvement in major industry events and partnerships. This has provided a detailed, practical understanding of how the market operates — commercially, operationally, and from a client perspective.
Alongside this, we have expanded into luxury property and private aviation, working with partners and clients across prime international markets including the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and key global financial centres. This cross-sector exposure has highlighted a consistent challenge — while the industries are closely connected, they remain fragmented in how they present themselves and engage with high-value clients.
This experience is underpinned by direct industry involvement at a professional level. As a qualified yacht broker, we have been actively engaged in yacht sales and charter, supporting clients across a range of transactions from entry-level vessels through to superyachts. Through our earlier operations, we have marketed yachts for sale, managed charter enquiries, and promoted luxury property and private aviation opportunities. This hands-on experience provides a clear understanding of client expectations, deal structures, and the standards required across each sector — forming the foundation of our ability to recognise companies operating at the highest level.
